Beauty and the Beast

Along the Rhine on France’s Eastern border with Germany, in the Alsace region of Europe, lies the magical village of Riquewihr. The village and its neighbor Ribeauvillé, have made a lasting impression on the ages, as the backdrop that inspired “a tale as old as time”.

My daughter and I were here in July 2021 and enjoyed crepes, macaroons, gelato, cheese, wine, and croissants. It was in this very place, deep in the cellars, that I learned the meaning of “who cut the cheese”.
